Where is your office?
We come to you! We are a concierge-based practice. This means that we travel to YOU. We can provide physical therapy services at your home and/or office to make therapy most convenient for you. If you prefer to utilize a gym space, you can come to our gym in Fountain Hills OR we will work with you to find one in your vicinity. We primarily serve the Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, and Rio Verde area, but we are happy to travel across the valley to see you! Note: $35 travel charge per visit outside of a 30 mile radius of our location in Fountain Hills.
How long will I be in therapy?
It varies and is based on your impairments and goals. On average, our clients are seen for 12 sessions spaced out 2-4 times per week for 3-6 weeks. The latest research on Parkinson's Disease has revealed that the best results come for patients who are seen frequently for a shorter period of time. We will choose (based on YOUR impairments) and perform a battery of outcome measures and tests at the beginning and end of therapy. This helps us quantify your progress and guides us in creating an individualized exercise program that you are responsible for performing on your days off from therapy.
Can I do therapy right after DBS (deep brain stimulation) surgery?
Absolutely. It is the perfect time to do therapy! We have created a battery of specific tests and outcome measures based on research and our clinical expertise. These assessments will help monitor your functional mobility allow us to report our findings to your neurologist on a frequent basis so that he or she can make proper adjustments as needed in order to optimize YOUR function.
